GPW Recruitment staff ran the Runcorn “Run the Bridge 2012” on Easter Sunday 2012.
There was an “eggcellent” turn out with a total of 783 runners from all over the North West.
Six GPW Recruitment staff members competed in the race, Mark Parish and Jess Hunt with an impressive 44:32, Bruce Colvin 44:40, Paul Carr and Gary Ward 48:20 and first time event runner Jack Houghton finishing in 47:17.
The route took runners from Runcorn Railway Station, across the Runcorn Bridge and finishing in Hale village.
Gary Ward, who has recently completed his 2nd marathon in just under 7 months, comments: “We are proud to encourage our staff to run and keep fit. We started offering our staff the opportunity to enter races about 18 months ago, and the uptake has been incredible, this was our 7th company sponsored run”.
The “GPW Running Team’s” next race is the Walton Park 5 Mile on 22nd May 2012.
