GPW’s £783 Dress Down Day Donation for Willow Brook Hospice
GPW are delighted to announce, that in just five months, we have raised £783.70 for Willow Brook Hospice.
Since May 2016, GPW have been changing up Friday’s wardrobe, and raising money for Willow Brook Hospice in the process!
What do you call it? Casual Friday? Dress Down Friday? Own Clothes Friday?
GPW call it Dress Down Friday, and every Friday, our staff come in whatever clothes they like (although pyjamas are still frowned upon!) All staff are encouraged to make a minimum donation of £1 every Dress Down Friday, of which all the combined proceeds are donated to the Willow Brook Hospice.
The event originally started towards the end of 2015, solely on the last Friday of every month. Just in that short amount of time, GPW were thrilled to have raised £306 for Willow Brook.
Following on from the success of the monthly dress down, the step to make dress down day weekly, proposed an exciting opportunity to raise even more. Our GPW team have taken to Dress Down Friday, and the weekly donation, extremely well and the result has been great.
So far, the amount raised by GPW stands at an incredible £783.70 with the amount growing weekly.
Not only is Dress Down Day a great opportunity to raise staff morale, but an opportunity to use our resources and raise money for a great cause, something GPW as a company feels very strongly about.
GPW work closely with Willow Brook Hospice, and strive to continue raising money for this wonderful cause.
GPW is thrilled by the success of Dress Down Friday, and cannot wait to continue this success with each coming week.
